Strautmann Self Propelled diet feeders

For over 80 years Strautmann have been leading the global market for feeding and forage wagons.  OPICO took over the import of the Strautmann product range in 2015 and last summer OPICO launched the Strautmann range of self -propelled diet feeders into the UK, bringing opportunities for farmers to improve efficiencies in time, labour and fuel and also benefit from more accurate ration mixing.

There are three models in the Strautmann self-propelled range, with mixing capacities from 12 - 22m3: the smallest is the Sherpa, which is becoming the most popular model in Europe.  It is a two-wheel drive single auger machine and comes in two sizes.  The other two models are the Verti-Mix Single SF and Double SF (two augers).  On all machines the unique Vario2 mixing auger is fed by a 2m wide milling head and a centrally mounted reversible conveyor.

The demonstration day will allow you to see for yourself the superior build quality and performance of our 2002 demonstrator machine as well as the benefits of a self propelled machine over trailed machines and how, with our unique contract hire package, the financials can stack up for dairy units of 250 cows or more.

OPICO's MD James Woolway will explain why he is convinced that self-propelled diet feeders are the future for many medium to large dairy units in the UK.  He recently commented "Our financial model shows that herd sizes from 250 cows upwards can justify a self-propelled diet feeder.
